Acer 5742 usb ports suddenly stopped responding

I have a problem with my usb ports in acer aspire 5742..... 2 near cd dont work......would anyone like to suggest me wt i should do......

If 2 ONLY have gone its a hardware fault...lappy repair shop time... or USB hub...
