I'm sorry.

I've been struggling with a new MB/CPU and the only internet access I had was on a cell phone with very little reception, so please let me appologize. I am attempting to solve an overheating issue with a brand new I7 2700 on an Asus P8Z77-V MB. THe CPU at bios default settings runs at 40C - 52C which seems way to hot.

I was attempting to troubleshoot that and was checking the bios for bad values. I have a GTX 680 and was wondering what PCIex16 setting it should be set for. My board has settings of X1 - X4.

I'm going to go post in the CPU forum for advice on the heat issue too.

first use this to check your temp http://www.hwinfo.com/ then go to motherboard user manual page 2-12 for graphic the card goes the dark blue slot to work at 16 x after that see chapter 3 and the followings for all bios settings
