Virus In the boot Sector!

What can I do if there i a virus in the boot sector? Help is much appreciated thanx!

You can try booting norton's, and letting it try to clear it out. If sh*t got that far through my defenses, I'd just wipe the entire drive.

You mean a Norton rescue boot disk? ok ill try that thanx! oh yeah what do you mean "wipe" the entire drive?

Oh boy ... I know this a little late but should be posted. Boot to DOS and type FDISK /MBR.

You should be able to boot into Windows after that. Run a scan with Norton 5.0 or higher and it shall remove your boot sector virus.

If that doesnt help the situation then you should probally run a debug script to erase all HDD information and repartition with FDISK.
