How do I unlock Siemens A35?

Hello All,

I have been given a Siemens A35 branded and locked to Vodafone. It has a
Vodafone PayAsYouTalk (PayT) SIM that has been disconnected due to non-use.

Vodafone will not reactivate the account - they say that the number has been
re-cycled - and tell me that I need to get a new SIM. As it stands I
believe that I can get a new SIM for free, but it is not Vodafone and so I
need to get the 'phone unlocked. On the Web I have found a site which can
supply a code to unlock Nokia 'phones for free, but can anyone tell me how
to unlock this Siemens A35 for free?
