My Plex's light flashes on and off...

Hi, my Plex 24/10/40's light flashes on and off and won't read/write discs. Device Manager reports that it working properly but when I try to view any disk in the drive via My Computer it says to put a disk in the drive. Also, if I leave the PC off for about 24 hours, it occasionally ressurects itself. All advice appreciated.

I'm no expert by any means,but maybe your documentation has a listing for the blinkies,and what they mean.My burner has both amber and green lights that pulse in different patterns indicating different things.

If ya don't ask..How ya gonna know.

try going to the plex website and grabing the latist bios. there was somting in one of them, a while back, that was ment to fix the bug that your drive seems to suffer from.

Now thats what I want to know!
