Which would be a better LCD 17 inch display for gaming.

I am undecided between the NEC LCD1715 or the Sony HS73H.
The NEC has lower reponse time but i found it to seem like it was a little concave looking. A friend has the NEC so i am familiar with it. Performace while gaming seems good with it. The Sony has better contrast ratio. Would i even notice any difference between the two displays.

I am coming from a 17 inch CRT that was getting so bad that i could barely read any text on it in 1280 x 1024.
And no my eyes are not bad !!
I will be choosing one of these monitors because of price and availability
Any insight would be greatly appriciated
