Launch the registry keys,click YES when you get a UAC prompt

Download

Windows repair tool

Extract and launch the Repair_Windows.exe file

Click on Start repairs tab-click on Start

check mark following options alone

Repair WMI
Repair Windows Firewall.
Remove Policies Set By Infections
Repair Winsock & DNS Cache
Repair windows updates


Checkmark Restart System When Finished option
click the Start button

System should restart after repair

Post the new FSS log

Same thing happened to me. I set it back to default then left it as a backup like jinksy said. I set up OpenVPN (from https://expressvpn.biz) instead for security which just runs continuously.
