Acrylic Cases

I heard that all-acrylic cases are bad for internal components since they can't block any RFI/EMI from outside sources.

Is that true?

  1. I doubt it. They are bad for Television and Radio reception and are therefor illegal to sell with a new system (Fail FCC requirements).

  2. As Crashman says, the emission of interference is more relevant. (<A HREF="http://www.physics.gla.ac.uk/~kskeldon/PubSci/exhibits/E3/" target="_new">http://www.physics.gla.ac.uk/~kskeldon/PubSci/exhibits/E3/</A>)PC cases have never been terribly good as Faraday cages, laptops especially. So don't worry about internal components being effected.

Incidentally Crashman, your sig is grammatically nonsensical.
