What would it take to change a Hafler P4000 from the European 220 Volt
standard to the North American 110? Thanks.

If there is no internal jumper you can switch on the unit you could
always use an external step-down transformer.

** Someone to inspect the insides who knew what to look for.

An email to Hafler with the same question.

A call to a Hafler service centre.

Inspection of the schematic .

Or, in any case a suitable 120v to 220v transformer.

1. Do the obvious go to www.hafler.com

2. View the schematic at
http://www.hafler.com/techsupport/ [...] 00_man.pdf

3. After noting page 15 rewire the transformer for 120VAC.... as shown in
the
above referenced schematic.....

4. Replace the fuse with the 15A Slow Blow as suggested...

5. Replace the line cord / plug with the appropriate variety...

6. Change the label on the back panel...

If you are not qualified to do the above hire someone who is...

I neglected to mention the alternate solution, hire a licensed electrician
to install a 240Volt outlet.... Homes in the USA have 240Volt service....
Plug the unit in and listen...
