im trying to set up a raid 0 array on my a7v133 mobo , it has raid support. im using two 40 GB hard drives.

i did all teh crap and everything but when i use a startup disk and go to install windows, C drive is only 40GB. and it wont install because it says sometghing is wrong with the hard drive setup and it cannot continue with this problem still there.

even in FDISK it only shows one 40GB hard drive, yet everytime the computer starts up the FastTrak bios shows a 80GB array functioning properly.

anyone got a clue?

thanks

Make sure they are both set to active in the FastTrak Bios.
Download and use the newer Fdisk so it will see the larger array.
Delete all partitions on the array with fdisk and repartition it.
You can also go <A HREF="http://www.braziliantech.com/files/Hardware/Motherboard/BIOS/ASUS/" target="_new"><b>HERE</b></A> and download a BIOS that will give you a full raid to use with your board.

It enables full raid for your promise chip. You can choose stripe size etc.
The new fdisk will help. I can e-mail it to you if you want.
