I'm impressed as my copy is pre-ordered with Amazon for next Friday. Is
this the earliest patch ever?

Naw. As I recall, Starcraft had a patch the day after it went Gold. For the
PC, this isn't such a bad thing considering the pressure that developers get
from publishers to push stuff out. It means that they offer continued
support.. As much as I hate it, I'd rather see regular updates than none at
all, if I had to choose a side.

It isn't an official patch:
"The BiA updates available on the Ubisoft FTP site
(BiA-1.0-1.01-xxx.exe) are NOT intended for public download at this
time. These updates are published for final internal testing purposes
only. Anyone that downloads this patch now and applies it to a retail
game next week will not be able to play online, or receive future
updates through the auto update system. To be clear, version 1.01 is
NOT a valid version number for Brothers in Arms."

Thanks Andrew for the update.

www.3dgamers.com has indeed revoked the patch today in compliance
with the request from Ubisoft.

However, where there is smoke, there is fire..... I would expect an
official patch in the not-to-distant future.
