I have just bought an Audigy Platinum Ex along with Creative Inspire Digital 5700 and i was wondering, when i play a dvd on my PC through Power DVD XP is there a way to get the sound card, or better yet, the amplifier on the speakers to decode the DTS or Dolby Digital sound. Because right now all the sound is decoded through software (power DVD).

Is there a way i can do hardware sound decoding (by card or speakers) with a DVD ROM and PC or is this not possible unless i get and external DVD player hooked up directly into the speakers.

And is Power DVD not the software i want to play back my DVDs for sound puroses?????

thank you
