me vs andrews
or like it should be called:
the difference between a true pc gamer (me) and a lousy cheap fake one (andrews)

how many pc games bought in the last 4 months?
me = 20!
andrews = 1

how many pc games sold which is not recommended for a true pc gamer?
me = ZERO!
andrews = 1

how many pc games in the "to buy list" for the next month?
me = 5!
andrews = 1

who defends pc games by going against piracy, against steam, against
unfair competition from consoles, against wrong cd copy protections
like starforce and promoting good for pc games like more buying of
pc games, promoting the retail channel and packagings?
me = YES!
andrews = NO!

overall
me = wins every category, a true pc gamer!
andrews = loses in every category, a lousy cheap fake pc gamer!

I have no idea what this is about, but I thought Julie Andrews was very
good in The Sound of Music. Although I agree that she didn't buy or
play many games in that film. Maybe those bits were cut from the final
release?

2 actually, I forgot that in addition to Riddick I also bought, played
and sold Scrapland. I only buy good games that appeal to me.

I just got my IRS refund in the mail. So I went online and ordered a new
pc, and fifty pc game titles.

Using your logic:

how many pc games bought in the last 4 months?
SayNo = 20
OldDog = 50!

who bought a new computer?
SayNo = 0
OldDog = 1

who defends the envirnoment?
SayNo = 0
OldDog = 1

who defends the gamer out there?
SayNo = only defends those that believe in his current state of the mind
(current state because he tends to bounce around on his stance; sometimes
it's like following the rabbit into the hole.)
OldDog = defends those that believe in mom, apple pie, and little Timmy in
the well.

Overall
OldDog =winner
SayNo = loser

So I get a dog biscuit. Yum!
Save a Tree and go Steam.
Logic, it's such a wonderful concept.

Ha. I always enjoy your posts OldDog no matter what sayNO2constitancy says.

P.S. I'm sure he will reply to you and call you a liar.

Andrew, I'm not a real PC gamer either. We're three months into the
year and all I've played is HL2 and half of Far Cry. And I didn't even
buy HL2 - it was a present.

Frankly, I'm disappointed and a bit upset because I was hoping my
misspent youth on the Spectrum and the three PCs I've owned since then
would have given me a permanent place on the PC Gamer Hall of Fame, but
alas I seem to have been knocked out in Qualifying.

Oh well, I'll join you in the Sunday league of PC gamers, where all we
get to play is rubbish like HL2, Far Cry, WoW etc. We'll just have to
dream of the lofy heights of the true PC gamer, who endlessly plays the
infinite range of games that run on a broken hard drive.

If you're asking him to name the games he's bought or played recently,
then you're out of luck. His hard drive's been knackered for ages so
he's not been a TRUE PC GAMER for a while. It took a couple of weeks to
get that information, so don't hold your breath on this one.

But, if you're willing SayNO, I for one would be interested to know
what spec your PC is. It would help me understand why you are so anti
the internet, credit cards, Steam and consoles. If it helps, this is my
spec:
AMD64 3400
512mb Crucial RAM
Asus K8V motherboard
Radeon 9800XT
Soundblaster Live! Value + 4.1 speakers
Broadband internet (1mb woohoo!, but capped to 2gb download)
CD-RW and DVD-RW
WinXP Home

What's your rig?

Constantly making a tit of yourself in public? It sounds appropriate
for him. He does push the envelope for f***wittedness, the English
language does need to evolve to keep up with the required adjectives.

So after asking me what games I bought and played and starting a
thread attacking me for not being a PC gamer (just for the record I
have been a gamer for over 25 years and a PC gamer for about 10 and
having bought and played hundreds of games), you aren't going to tell
me what are the 20 games that you have bought and which of them you
have played?

What makes me a PC gamer is that I buy and enjoy playing a wide
selection of games and I subscribe to this group (among others) to
share my experiences where I think others might be interested and to
hear the experiences of others. I don't spend hours on end playing PC
games because as I have got older I find my concentration/interest
wanes, but that doesn't mean I am not a gamer.

You however have never spoken about a single game you have played,
apart from 10+ year old DOS games and just spout perpetual bullshit.

Yes, there is an enormous difference between us, and you wouldn't
believe how happy I am to know that.

I bought Far Cry, and I just got Starsky and Hutch as a freebie for
upgrading my Broadband connection.

But I define "PC gamer" as someone who plays PC games, not someone who
buys them.

What about you, what have you bought or played this year?

How's your hard drive, by the way?

Sorry I must have missed the post - can you tell me again what games you
have bought in 2005? I am of course talking about new games not two for
a fiver defunct games from bargain bins. Let's be generous and say
games up to one year old.
