Hi there everyone,

Bell Mobility here in Canada is offering the Motorola 120C this week for
99.00 (all fees included) On top of this they are offering a $60 prepaid
card as well. I am seriously looking at getting this phone to replace my
old Motorola Microtec circa 1996.
I would like to hear from people who have this phone and what they think
of it. In particular if anybody has tried the option of programming in your
own ringtones? If so where can you get some free ones. I am particulary
interested in the Hockey Night in Canada theme.

Thanks

Jason

I have a Moto v120c that I bought about 18 months ago from VZW. It is
a Free-Up (pre-pay) phone that was very inexpensive but has worked
admirably during this period.

I know that the 120c is no longer available, having been replaced by
successors in the line (they are up to version 120T now). The phone is
no longer being sold by the major wireless companies in the States. US
Cellular is the only one listed in PhoneScoop as selling the v120
series.

The v120c does NOT have downloadable ringtones. It comes with a bunch
of pre-programmed ones and the option of inputting your own (you
actually have to input the tones manually). As a result it was not a
real popular phone. It also got marginal reviews on the various
discussion groups and websites. But, as i said, I've had pretty good
luck with mine, albeit my first cell phone.

Given this information, i think $99 is way too much money to spend on
this phone. I think because it is so old, it should be free.

Check PhoneScoop.com for reviews of the latest phones.
