That's all? Then they were myopic to release it on DVD only. I've got
a few games here that came on 5 cdroms.

Not really, a DVD costs about the same as 2 CDs these days and as an
added bonus, you don't have to swap discs.

You don't have to swap disks even with games that come on 5 cdroms.
You install the game to the HDD and you have one play disk for cp
checks. And then you can get the nocd crack so you don't have to use
any disk. There is one for SHIII already but it is only v1.0.

yeah, well. I prefer the one DVD to multiple CD's for the install, but
mainly for storage. I have a nice CD rack that fits normal sized CD cases,
or two slim CD cases, but now dozens of my games come in these thick
packages or DVD packages. Not a huge deal, but just another thing I have to
worry about.

Miscommunication. I thought you meant during gameplay and not during
the install.

I know, it was just a small joke.

I think I read that they were going to be releasing a CD version of it
in the future. I didn't want to wait though and finally broke down and
got a DVD drive for this machine. ($26 cdn)

Well, that wasn't my point, really. I've already got three DVD drives
spread across two PC's.

A lot cheaper than the first CD drive I ended up buying because
games on 5+ floppies were getting to be a bit much. :)
