Recently my Altec Lansing speaker system died. As a result, I am in the market for a new 2.1 speaker system. I am on a budget and do not want to spend more than $50. I will use the speakers for gaming mostly, but I occasionally will watch a DVD or play some music. I never intend on playing the speakers loud enough to rattle the windows. In fact, I am typically conservative with the volume.

I have been doing a little research and am currently considering the following speakers:
- Creative Labs T-2900
- Logitech Z-340
- Altec Lansing 221

The Altecs are a distant third since my speakers that just died were Altec Lansings. I would appreciate any advice you might have regarding the selection of a new set of speakers.

Thanks in advance.
