God mode in Half Life 2

So, sometimes I like to feel invincible and run
around and not worry about enemy fire, so I tried
to use the god cheat in HL2. I brought up the console,
typed god and submitted. Well, my health still goes
down when shot. Am I missing something? Is there another
way to enter god mode?

Yes, you need to activate the cheats first.

Start the game.

Pull down the console

Type "sv_cheats 1" (sans quotes, of course)

Type in the cheat code (e.g., GOD or BUDDHA or IMPULSE 101 or NOCLIP
or NOTARGET or...)

Make the Combine pay for what they have done.

The only bad thing I can say about Thief is that you'd think the
world's best thief wouldn't have to be pinching pennies to buy arrows.

A minor point though, the entire Thief series was great. Quite a
change from the FPS of the time when the first one came out, you could
actually complete an entire mission without even being detected by the
enemy, much less having to just kill every single one of them.

I think that's the third time Jim has made the same point. And each time it
has carefully been explained to him that DiFool has brought this on himself.

I suspect that he doesn't read the replies.

If 'Steam' didn't exist it would be necessary for DiFool to invent it.

No, the Individual.Net account will expire on April 1st. He's just trying
to save face, when he's already lost it 2147483647 times over. The poster
also uses Free Agent... which also means that the poster won't be paying
for the news account.

And I wish they wouldn't bother.
1) It's unnecessary
2) It's a cheap dig and is basically trolling. If you can't respond in
your own words, don't pretend to be someone else.
3) It just confuses the thread and makes it difficult to have any sort
of coherent discussion because we just end up talking about whether a
post is authentic or not. But that's the point of trolling I suppose.
