How to stop LAN viruses

how to stop LAN viruses harming my pc even fails the antivirus softwares...plz help me

Make sure the windows firewall is turned on for a start. You can also try a different antivirus program. Some are better at catching certain viruses than others. Just be sure you are not actively running more than one antivirus program at a time.

Oh forgot one thing.

Do you know what virus it is?
Could be easier to help you, if you knew it.

Firewall on first.
Windows should warn you automatically if it isn't on, but the viruses could have had turned it off.

If firewall is on, I suggest downloading Microsoft Security Essentials and run a full scan.

Oh and by the way.

If Windows Defender pops up telling you to do something, then DON'T!

It's because the viruses has taken control if it and want's you to give them even further acces.

(In case it already have had popped up and you accepted, then you are screwed)
