Single player demo was great, looks like a winner.

I don't mind there's no bots in MP. On a game of this scale, bots could be
misused as cannon fodder.

There were bots in the original, at least for the co-op mode... did they
ditch the co-op mode?

Nope. You can only have humans now, that's all.

No, it has full 2-5 person coop support for every mission. Great stuff.

I wish they implemented ironsights, but that's my only -ve on a great little
game (that and some faster way of getting your team to throw emergency
flashbangs than rightclick->scrollscroll->deploy->flashbang)

Voice recognition for simple commands like that would
be _great_.

Indeed, I had been hoping to use my MS Gamevoice controller for that,
but unless I am missing something, SWAT 4 doesn't seem to have
keystrokes for the squad controls :-(

Hmm, a thought; are there any Windows utilities that
enable you to link a voice command to a system-wide
hot key? That way, you could use voice commands in
_any_ game.

*thinks more*

That would _ROCK_.

Gamevoice allows you to program a single keystroke or a whole set of
keystrokes to a vocal command, and works really well, but is no good
if a game doesn't have the appropriate keystrokes to map to.

Actually, Andrew, I did a quick read of GameVoice. It seems that
the unit itself does none of the processing. Does that mean
the GameVoice software would work with any USB headset?
Is it purchasable by itself?

It works with any headset, but you plug the headset into a USB based
controller. The useful parts of the Gamevoice software need the
controller to be plugged in to run. It is a great shame MS
discontinued the product, it has a lot of potential.
