Just wondering if anyone out there can tell me how long it took to charge
the phone when its low on battery (only one bar left on the batery meter).
I am not sure if mine is charging properly as it takes me at least 4 hours
to charge it up.

Thanks for your attention

Well...I have V525...and like you...It takes a few hours to charge..I would
say 3-4 hours...and mine is only about 6 weeks old (meaning I bought it 6
weeks ago..<g> )....

It's a function of the charger not the phone. The standard charger
furnished with the phone is much slower than the rapid (travel) charger.

What "Travel Charger?" I did a Google & called Motorola:all that seems
to be available is the charger that comes with the phone and the "Desk
Charger." I was informed by the Moto. Tech. that they both had the same
output.

My 6161 Nokia did have a "quickcharger" wallwart which took about 45
min.from flat to full.. Will I have to review Ohm's law and roll my own? <g>

Motorola #SPN4716B. It has a 1.5 amp output and generally charges the
phone in less than an hour. It has folding blades and is called a "Rapid
Travel Charger." It may also be available under other part numbers. One
distinctive trait is that this charger has a round cable that is thicker
than the "zip" cord on the one shipped with the phone. Look for
chargers for the v60 and you might have better luck finding it. All of
the v60 chargers and cables are good to go with the v3/4/5/600.
I've also bought some aftermarket chargers that are fast and cheap.
Bought one on ebay and another one at Ross Dress for Less for $6 that
included a fast charger, car charger and headset.
