If my PC was equipped with a Tascam US-428 USB, and a regular sound
card with a stereo line in, would it be possible to record
simultaneously on the 4 Tascam inputs and the 2 channels on the
soundcard for 6 total? Has anyone tried anything like this?

Theoretically, you can do so. (Not when using ASIO drivers).

But the problem will be that the two audio devices' sample rates will
not be in sync. Standard soundcards can't be synced to external
equipment.

So you just won't get any good results...
