i get a message during boot up that is something like...

Smartcard predicts drive failure on WDC (blah blah blah)
Back up drive immediately as failure is likely

WDC (blah blah blah) is the numbers for my drive

I have a WD 60 gig 7200 rmp hard drive and a asus a7v333 mobo. the drive is hooked up to the regular primary IDE port (not the raid port) and it is set for master and there is no slave. is my drive no good or is this the mobo being dumb and thinking something is wrong? any ideas? thanks.

That is a pre-hardrive failure warning, probably better get your self a new drive and Ghost or clone your old drive while you still can.
