Is the TC 1140 the same as the TC 1144. They call the 1144 a Bass Pre but
everything looks identical to the 1140?

I bet the frequency ranges are different than 1140/2240 ....

Okay, I believe you ... (after checking pictures). I've never head of the
1144 before.. and the service manual for xx40 does not mention it
either..... must have been a label trick to attract bass players then ...
