This little Compact Flash card recorder has 86 dB dynamic range, and
65 dB S/N at the mic input. Lots of noise, and little headroom...
Is it just plain silly to buy one for recording piano?
I will be recording different pianos, in small rooms and large.
Don't know about mic yet. This is mostly for learning to play the
piano -- I need decent quality, but nothing spectacular.
I would be recording mono PCM.
The advantage is that it's small and easy to use.
Just how bad will it sound?
