Powerline with two routers?

My setup looks like this: Satellite internet modem -->Powerline adapter downstairs --> Powerline adapter upstairs --> Wireless router upstairs. This is in the house and Im trying to bring internet to the apartment building just behind the house. Im using the router upstairs to bring wireless to the building behind the house. I am having problems with my connection. I lose connection often and have to disconnect and reconnect the wireless connection. I also have a wired connection running from the same router across to the building and have the same problem. I have to unplug ethernet cable from back of pc and plug it back in approximately every five minutes to regain connection. Should I have this set up differently or is there anything i can do to fix the problem? I hope i have given enough information as I know very little about this.

I'm sorry about the title, it doesn't apply so much. I was thinking maybe I need two routers while I was typing I guess.

Give the fact you're dealing w/ another building, and both wire and wireless are unreliable, I have to ask, just how far are the router and these wired/wireless clients separated?

About 35 feet.

Ok, that's reasonable. I was just worried we might be dealing w/ significantly longer distances, >100ft., where signal loss might be an issue.
