winXP and AIT Radion 8500

do any Xp owners use an ATi radion 8500. according to tomshardware bench marks the two dont mix. for anyony who has personly used the two together what have you found?

Yes, I have the two. You are looking at a very old benchmark. My Radeon 8500 is actually <i>faster</i> under Windows XP now than it is under Win9x/Me. Performance has been improved significantly since those very early benchmarks.

AMD technology + Intel technology = Intel/AMD Pentathlon IV; the <b>ULTIMATE</b> PC processor

i dont think its bad...check out my 3dmark score...im pretty happy w/ it...
i can get my score to about 9500 if i tweaked/overclock my system a little...but its fine at stock speed...

pr497, it's kinda sad to see a good Northwood's performance go to waste, why don't you overclock it to at least 2.2GHz?

because thats the highest i can overclock it to (2.24 actually w/ my P4S333)...
besides...i dont need that extra speed anyways...2 ghz will be fine for me for the time being...
the only reason i overclock it (right now) is purely for benchmarking purposes...other than that...it works just fine...
i will overclock it to 2.2 when it begins to feel sluggish...
