How to open up vod format file

If something that's in .vod format, what should i use to open up the file? need help here.

You sure its .vod? I've a file format library, and its pretty damn good. Yours is the first I've been unable to identify.

Perhaps if you could hint at where the file came from? A software disk, or as part of program.

And another:

Note: Windows Media Player 6.4 or better has default support for .vod files, as you can see <A HREF="http://download.cnet.com/downloads/0-1896413-100-2754185.html" target="_new">here</A>.
