this is my PC specs do let me know if i have to update any driver or somethg to make far cry 2 , the saboteur , red faction guerrilla all work well cause its running slow in my system

the saboteur freezes at the main screen
red faction guerrilla and far cry 2 are running slow

You need to upgrade your video card, it looks like you have a ATI radeon HD 4350. Far Cry 2 Minimum requirements are

* CPU:
Pentium 4 3.2 Ghz, Pentium D 2.66 Ghz
AMD Athlon 64 3500+ or better
* Video card:
NVIDIA 6800 or ATIX1650 or better
Shader Model 3 required
256 Mb of graphic memory
* Memory:
1 GB

According to Tom's Graphics Card hierarchy it appears your HD 4350 is 1 tier below the minimum radeon x1650. Not that it matters because that HD 4350 is not a gaming card anyways.

How much are you willing to spend to upgrade to a better video card? People can start suggesting once we know your budget. Do you know what your power supply is? Will have to factor extra cost if your power supply is some generic weak POS.

There is a beta patch for the saboteur that fixes the hang issue with aTi cards, think its version 1.03b
The hanging only affects aTi cards, happened on my 5870, applied the update/patch, no problems since.

as for the slowness, 4350 isn't what i call gaming grade... :)

Don't worry too much you can get a nice graphics card for under $100.

Like they said, your current card was not designed for games, but more for hd video. In fact, yours is the slower version of these low end cards.

Yea, a new graphics card definitely should get you up to playable frames. But there's good news. ATI's 5570 is available for order online, for roughly $85 shipped. Should be able to pop that puppy right in and get to gaming.

agreed with strider. it may be possible to run FC2 with your graphics card, but don't expect phenomenal performance, especially with the rest of your system specs. Your graphics card is your bottleneck at the moment. Go for an inexpensive upgrade ($70-90) and you'll get the performance you want.
Besides, that youtube video, was it using the EXACT same system specs as your computer, or JUST the graphics card? could also just as easily be staged (maybe just ran the trailer on his computer and said it could play the game?)

what resolution are you running your games at? Also did you try putting them to the lowest graphical settings? Like what saran008 recommended did you update your video card to the latest drivers from ATI/AMD's website?

Why dont you install tune up utilities and then try the turbo mode, maybe there are too many thing running in background

that exactly was the case the windows 7 ultimate has many thgs running in background but i now downgraded to windows xp service pack 3

thgs lookin good for far cry 2 but others dint try it out yet

as far as graphics card are concerned will upgrade but in India its priced way above the US rates so do let me know which one will be the prefferred in the sense long time run
