Maybe it's really stupid question, but this spec of every mobo get me sick. How could i reach 2GB with just 3 slots ? if 3 x 512 = 1536MB ?? thats the question. And is it possible to install 3 DDR slots onto mobo ?

thank you.

..it is possible to get 1GB modules but they are really for commercial use and would be ruinously expensive. The 3GB claim may be true, but it's really only a marketing gimmick. Why the hell would you need 3GB, and what O/S would support it? 512MB is fine, 1GB is great, but after that it would make no difference.

Ignore it and get on with your life.

Bear in mind that usually the max memory you are seeing is ECC memory max. Non-ECC memory maximum amounts are less.
