Hey... I'm trying to rack up some Neotek Elite preamp modules... but
I'm kind of stuck at square one without any schematics to figure out
pin assignments for power/signal, etc... can ANYBODY help me? Anyone
got some sheets out there they might be able to scan / send me?? I'd
REALLY appreciate it. Or at least point me in the right direction??

thanks a lot.

Find one of the op amps on the board, find the datasheet for that chip
on the 'net, find the power supply pins and follow those traces to the
card's connector. These boards are double sided (if even that - the
older Neoteks used single sided), so it should be simple to trace.

The rest you'll have to get by tracing out the schematic. One hint to
find the mike input would be to look for the phantom power connection.
The mike amp output is probably somehow connected to the mike/line input
switch.

The Elite is sort of unusual in that Neotek uses discrete transistors in
front of many of the op amps, but aside from that, it pretty much looks
like most other consoles.

Another option is to contact Mike Stoika and get schematics. He
purchased the remnants of Neotek and is pretty much the only source for
Neotek schematics these days, aside from finding a private owner who has
them.

But, honestly, it's just a console channel and it isn't hard to figure
this stuff out. Any competent technician should be able to do this in
an hour or less.

Best of luck,

Thanks for the info... I guess that's perfectly logical... I was just
hoping someone had some schematics lying around and could tell me or
forward them to me.

Guess I'll call mike stoica. One thing though - where does the 48V
come from if there's only a double 18V feed coming in??

Thanks.

Oops.. it wasn't you - someone else e-mailed me and mentioned that
there's a dual 18V feed (but not much more). Just wanted to head off
confusion.
