Hi folks.

I am trying to find a lawyer to represent my studio. I need to clear
up an issue involving noise transmission with my neighbor in writing.
Can anybody recommend a lawyer who specializes in this kind of thing?

Thanks.
Charles

Go to www.martindale.com, which is a lawyer's directory web site. You
can search by location and area of speciality. I assume that your
problem involves some sort of an agreement to resolve a dispute over
noise? You might want to look for a lawyer that deals in real estate
law.

New York has around 1 billion lawyers, most of whom are outrageously
expensive. Stick with smaller guys, who probably are cheaper. If you
call one and he can't help you, ask if he can recommend someone. Some
lawyers won't do this because of referral liability (which is
bullshit), but many will.

Good luck.

With no more detail than that (and I excuse you for not spilling your
guts here) I can suggest that you don't need a lawyer, you need a
construction crew or a real estate agent.

The good lawyer is not the man who has an eye to every side and angle of contingency, and qualifies all his qualifications, but who throws himself on your part so heartily, that he can get you out of a scrape.

People
accuse of crimes face the horrible possibility of spending many years in jail,
sometimes even for a lifetime. However, if you will hire a good criminal
resistance lawyer, you’ll find someone who is committed to represent you all
the way. He or she will bargain with prosecutors and may be able to assemble
for reduced charges and lesser sentencing many people think that defense
lawyers simply question court witness. Well, you might be amazed to know that
this is not all that they do. Good unlawful defense lawyers will also provide
you with an objective reality check about your situation and the possible
consequences if your case will go to trial. This is very important if you’re
deciding whether to accept the “plea bargain” offered by the prosecutor. Formulate
sentencing programs that can be tailored to your needs. This may help you avoid
another brush with the justice system in the future.
