Hi

Im having trouble selecting between CDRWs that are available from the place im buying my new computer from. They dont sell Liteon and the Plextor drives are over twice the price of the other CDRWs im trying to choice between;

Aopen CRW4048 IDE CD Re-Writer, 40w/12rw/48r with JustLink, Nero 5.5 NZ$165

MSI IDE CD Re-Writer, 40w/12rw/48r with JustLink, Nero 5.5 NZ$160.00

Asus 4012 IDE CD Re-Writer, 40w/12rw/48r with Nero 5.5 NZ$195.00

LG CD Re-Writer, 32w/10rw/40r with Nero 5.5 NZ$155.00

LG CD Re-Writer, 40w/12rw/48r with Roxio/Adaptec 5 NZ$175.00

LG CD Re-Writer, 12w/8rw/32r, 8x DVD with Roxio/Adaptec 5 NZ$220.00

BTC CD Re-Writer, 32w/10rw/40r with NTI 5 NZ$170.00

Diamond Data IDE CD Re-Writer, 32w/10rw/40r, Nero 5.5 NZ$145.00

Im not interested in buying it elsewhere, as i cant be assed installing it (sorry im very lazy). The computer comes with a DVD drive already but no CDRW, so i was gonna add one in.

I say suck it up an get a LO 40/12/48 with Nero for around $40 USD. If you don't like that idea go to http://www.crdinfo.com and read up on which of your choices does what you want it to best. Nero is much highly thought of compaired to rox.

Give me fuel, give me fire, give me that which I desire.

The LG drives are decent all-rounders.

~ Gotta question? Tried searching the boards first? Good! Ask away! ~

Out of your choices, I would also get an LG with nero. I've used an LG and they make decent drives. Just try to stay away from the roxio software.

The LGs are quality drives.
Stay away from Roxio and use Nero instead.

WHERE ARE U LIVING??!! Don't u ever heard the brand "Lite-On"??
155$ for a LG-writer?!?!
I don't know the prices in your country but Lite-On 32* must be around 50$! You must be crazy to spend sooo much money for a CD-Writer! Go for Lite-On!

He said the store he's buying from doesn't carry Lite-On.

Thanks for all the info.

Im gonna go with a LG drive.

The reason why the prices seem a lot, is that they are in $NZ (NZD$1 = USD .50)
