Website detailing mics/pres used on famous records?

I think it would be interesting to compile a list of mics and
preamps used by specific singers on specific records. Has anyone undertaken
such an undertaking?

I imagine any such list would be frought with controversy. I've
read that Sinatra often used a cheap Shure mic where some insist he was using a
U47. I've read of Jagger using an SM57 where others say he's using a U47.

At least we have photos of The Beatles singing into their '47's!
Anyway, being a mic freak, I'd love to see such a website. I don't think one
exists, so perhaps someone will start one.
