HI have computer built with Soyo Dragon+ mobo. Just lost a HD and I had not backed up data recently. To avoid this in future, just purchased 2 Maxtor 60GB 7200 RPM HDs and want to set the up RAID 1. Although I am fairly proficient, but not an expert by a long shot, I have never gotten into RAID before. I don't want to start right off wrong, so the first thing I need to verify is the correct way to set the HD jumpers. Per the mobo manual IDE 1 and 2 are Primary and Secondary IDE; IDE 3 and 4 can be configured for RAID. So, it looks like I would attach one HD to IDE 1 and one to IDE/RAID 3. Question is, are both HDs jumper set to MASTER?

Any pitfalls to watch out for or suggestions appreciated.

errr, raid wont work having a drive on the standard IDE controller. both have to be on the raid channels 3 and 4, preferable one on each and both as master.
