Hello,
I have a house that is wired with older Romex, with no ground. I have checked inside and outside the junction boxes, and no ground is present.
Question.. Is it within the NEC code to run a green #12 THHN wire stapled to the floor joists under the house, in the crawl space from box to box by drilling up to each location, or is it required to run new Romex to each of the junction boxes to ground the new outlets.

Not only what is stated above, you will have to worry about the fuse/breaker box and bringing it to code.

You "fix" what you have and something happens with the wiring and causing a fire, or a fire for any reason attributable to wiring and your home insurance is NOT going to pay you a thin dime.

Face the expense and get it looked after by someone who knows what they are doing.
