Hi Everyone,

My friend got a Dvd-Rom (forgot the model number) and it couldn't play region 4's DVD. We tried many softwares, like WinDVD, PowerDVD, and even the media player in windows XP, but it couldn't work.

I wonder is there any software or any product could crack that region protect?

You'll have to update the drives firmware with a modified version. Here's the <A HREF="http://perso.club-internet.fr/farzeno/firmware/" target="_new">firmware page</A>.

*warning* It it messes up then you'll have a new paper weight. :smile:

Don't want to start an argument in semantics here, but there's a difference.
