Intel plans to change part of the high-capacitance multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) for supporting its dual-core CPU from 0402 X5R 1 μF to 0402 X5R 2.2μF, and the move will affect supply of other MLCC series, making Japan-based MLCC providers hesitant to support the plan, according to sources in the channel.
