I'm hoping for mods that will let you play as the first character from
GTA3 and Vice city.

Thanks for the link. I'm currently playing GTA3 for the first time (yeah I
know I'm late to the party) and after playing this game for a while I can
only hope and pray that SA won't be plagued by the same bugs as GTA3,
particularly text not appearing on menus, saved games loading very slowly,
or not at all, etc. Also, it would be nice if the offered a quick save
option, instead of the option of only saving when not on a mission and only
saving at a safe house.

There is a way to quick save, because I remember using it. I think it might
be some console command or a trainer. It's been so long, I don't remember
for sure, but I'm positive it exists. I'm sure you can Google something up.

My last vestige of "hands off religion" respect disappeared in the smoke and
choking dust of September 11th 2001, followed by the "National Day of
Prayer," when prelates and pastors did their tremulous Martin Luther King
impersonations and urged people of mutually incompatible faiths to hold
hands, united in homage to the very force that caused the problem in the
first place.

Seems unlikely. I haven't played SA, but it's an entirely different
premise. Even if they skinned the character from the first two I don't see
how the skin would be compatible with all the hairdos and body types
available in SA.

I don't remember a problem with the saved games, do you have the patch
installed? GTA:VC didn't suffer from any problems for me.

Not sure why, CJ is damn cool and has many soundbites which won't work with
white guys.

I do have the 1.1 patch installed. Apparently the issue with loading saved
games is a problem according to these sites:

Indeed, you can also exercise or get fat, change clothes and hairstyles and
go from muscled shaved head to fat afro'ed.... Tends not to fit in with Tommy
or the unnamed bloke from GTA3...

But they missed to give you the chance to change CJ into a white woman,
just like Michael Jackson...
;)
