Hello everyone!

My TP-Link WR1043ND router is constantly dropping my cable connection on a daily basis. The problem is that when it does, it also freezes or at least when I try to access it through its IP it won't show anything, but a classic 404 error page. If I reboot it by unplugging and plugging it back it works fine after that.

Would this be fixed if would use an aftermarket firmware? If yes, then which one should I use?

Thanks!

I dont have a fix for u, but my router same model as yours crashes about once a day for me lately.
This has just started for me not to long ago and i have had my router replaced once, same issue.
i belive its some firmware glitch, but not sure i have a case going with tp-link.

Thanks for the reply!

This is strange, then it really must be a firmware bug/glitch... Would really appreciate some help from the tech savvy people on the forums. Someone surely knows something about this : \.

I had the same problem with the 1043ND.
I could only solve it when I flashed OpenWRT, an alternative firmware. The instability went away.
