Did you knock first? maybe no one home...

Anyway...maybe the cd you put in was very poor, lots of scratches and shite on it?
Try rebooting your computer, press eject and see if it comes out during boot sequence/Windows load.

First make sure that the drive is still showing up when you boot up. Perhaps a loose cable.

there should be a hole the size of a pin on your cdrom drive, poke a needle or something in there,

that makes the drive open no matter what.

hey, its simple, i had the same problem a while back, is your cd-rom drive old?.... because if it is, then you need to get a new 1 immediately. I had the same problem when i turned on the computer the drive light would blink fast and nonstop, so i just replaced it and it was fine.. if you have the drive for a while then you must replace it because they get old and dont function properly.
