Biggest new feature is support for surround sound including several
surround sound plugins. Other neat add-ons are Pow-r dithering,
Prosoniq MPEX time scailing, A/V improvements, and editing/workflow
improvements such as track folders, mute clips or partial mutes for
comping, freeze tracks, and a project navigator view. There's probably
other stuff I'm not remembering.
I wish Sonar4 could author DVD-Audio discs. That would an optimal way
to archive mixdowns. Samplitude 8 will let you create DVD-A discs.
Perhaps in Sonar 4.1 or Sonar5 ...
