I have a D-Link DSL-2540B (T1 variant) ADSL/Router.
Then I just got Asus RT-N66U N900 Wireless router.
So my internet is AT&T DSL (PPPoE). I would like to know whats the best way to configure this setup to get the best performance. I notice on ADSL/router I have DHCP/NAT/Firewall/WAN/QoS options so does my Asus wireless router.
So do i turn everything off on my adsl router and let Asus router handle it or keep both routers' features enabled? Obviously with DHCP I'd have to edit the ranges so there isn't any conflicts but i'd prefer the Asus handle it all because of its robust QoS options.
Also when I'm connected through Asus router I can't get at the d-link web interface but still have internet? They have separate IP's on the same subnet. Any thoughts?
