I have one of those Dual PSX->USB Adaptor as sold by
play.com. It seems to work most of the time, but I have
a problem with the right-hand analogue joystick . This
showed up in GTA3 before, and today I also noticed it
in the Psychonaut demo. Essentually, the up-down axis
of the right-hand analogue joystick maps to left-right,
and the left-right axis maps to up-down. In games, this
is normally the controller used to look around rather
than control the character, so it's still possible to play,
but annoying.

When I go into Game Controllers->Dual PSX-USB
Adaptor and check properties (as shown at
http://www.iol.ie/~paulmoloney/properties.JPG)
and test the right-hand joystick, the displays shows it works fine.

I really don't know why the game utility says it works fine, yet
it works differently in games. Anyone know?

Cheers,

P.
