I'd like to upgrade the memory on my Vaio notebook (PCG-N505X). Does anyone know whether standard SO-DIMMs work ok or do I have to go for the (incredibly expensive) Sony memory modules?

Buy SONY Generic Ram...
How much ram do you have now?
I have a PCG-270, comes with 64mb onboard mem...I added another 64mb PC100 ram...just make sure the ram fits Sony laptops. Kingston or Mushkin rams are too big
