My atheros AR5B97 wireless network adapter is not connecting to wifi

My laptop is an ACER Aspire 4750z. I installed ubuntu version 12 for a change, then I got fed up with it and installed
Windows 7 back. Before installing ubuntu my wireless network adapter used to connect to wifi, now after reinstalling windows 7 it wont connect to wifi. The wireless icon in the taskbar shows the available wifi but it doesn't connect.My wireless network adapter is Atheros AR5B97

hi I have the same problem too and I also have aspire 4750z ... atheros cant connect to my wifi.. how can i fix this??
