Bandwidth issues on a family network.

Heyhey, I don't know very much about networking so bear with me.
I have a 3gbps internet speed from Frontier and I doubt that could ever change.
There's the modem itself which is wireless and there's my Netgear WNR2000 wireless router connected.
Plus my Tendaw311u usb device on my computer.
But the issue I'm having most with the network is that the wireless system seems to put all other forms of technology in my house over my computer.
In all there's an old family computer, an iPad, a year old laptop, and my brand new computer.
My family does things such as go on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Oovoo, Wizard 101, and other random browsing.
I play games like Minecraft online with friends and World of Warcraft.
Then, when I start torrenting using uTorrent, if there's enough seeders to eat my entire bandwidth, it will use it all.
uTorrent is the only thing that eats all the bandwidth it needs and everything else seems to favor all the other tech in the house.

The issue I run into is that no matter what they're doing on their end, they get all the bandwidth.
They could be simply browsing Facebook pictures and I get huge lag spikes.
My question: Is there anyway to limit the bandwidth they get or maybe setup some sort of ranking system so games and such are given more bandwidth over internet browsing?

Thanks.
