aticfx64.dll

refers to an ATI graphics driver, maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling your graphics driver, or maybe see if you can get an older 'more stable' version of the graphics driver.

Other than that I presume you've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Vegas.

My two cents worth

The dll in question is certainly an ATI driver issue. Yet you have a NVIDIA.

Did you ever have a ATI card?

Sony Vegas marries into hardware components. When I removed a Creative Sound Card Sony Vegas knew it. When I reinstalled my OS a week back and reinstalled Sony Vegas the error message went away.

Its possible you may be up for a reinstall. Have you tried booting in safe mode and seeing if Sony Vegas starts?

Some people are saying Quicktime is the problem others are saying it is the Video Driver.
