Can I dumb down the MN-700 into a repeater on my existing
wireless network. I have a WAPb, WEP 64, ch3 connected to
the network. I was hoping to place the MN-700 where the
signal is strong, and be able to extend the network
wirelessly. In other words, the MN-700 would not be
hardwired into the network. According to the
documentation, I've set the MN-700 to a WAP, WEP 64, Ch6.
The Wep key is the same, as the SSID.
My laptop will transition to the MN-700, but I gather the
communication is not forwarded.
First, is what I'm trying to do technically possible or
feasible?
Second, anything obvious. I'm tempted to try the same
channel, but the documentation warns against this.
