I'm doing the "Exports" missions in GTA, where you have to find/steal
various cars and load them up into the cargo-ship with the crane.
Everytime I successfully "export" a car, I get a message that a new
car is available for import. What does this mean and where can I get
these new cars?

It means you can buy some cars and they appear on the cargo ship. I
think you can choose the car with the board or something, can't really
remember.

Yes, but *how* do I buy the cars? Or where?
I thought it might be from the Wangs Car asset but I didn't see
anything there.

There are two boards in the docks. One shows the cars required for export,
and the other the cars available for you to import (buy). Presumably you
just click on a car on the import list and will spawn for you, for a price.

No, there's just one board on my docks. All it has is the names of the
cars (all crossed out now) that needed to be "exported". No other
board listing potential imports.

I'll look tonight on the PC version. I'm recalling my PS2 game from about 6
months ago, so it's not fresh in my mind, but you definitely import at the
same location as the exports.

I figured out what it was.
You have to go up to the board and hit the "action" key. I was
expecting a static list or something (or maybe a room with a bunch of
cars). I just never got close enough to the board to trigger the "use
action key" message; to be fair, the game is quite exacting in this;
can't be too close to the board, can't be too far so it doesn't
surprise me I missed this. None of the various FAQs and walkthroughs
indicate that I need to "use" the board either.
The odd thing is, I don't want to import any cars anyway; if I need an
auto I pluck it from the trees (so to say). I just wanted to know HOW.

Get in front of the board and push the correct key, I think it's either the
ACTION key or the ENTER/EXIT key. (I remapped all my keys and have no idea
what the defaults are). A menu will come up to buy the car, then you'll
have to unload it from the same ship you loaded the export cars to. It
definitely works.
