DVI input is normally found on a digital display such as an LCD or plasma monitor. It's the digital version of a VGA connector.

DVI is just digital video interface - and can be used for most digital flat panels and digital CRT . Analogue is according to a sales manager who vistited me at the office more expensive and will be faced out - so all will have the DVI interface in the future. Some companies such af Compaq have used the DFP (digital flat panel) for a while but are now going with the DVI as well. My advice is DO NOT buy any graphic card or monitor without DVI. Don't know if there are any CRTs yet with DVI but as far as I understood it will come.
